Botapsa in Jincheon, a relatively new temple completed in 1992, is built on the site long thought to have been one of the largest temples established during the three Kingdoms and Goryeo periods. Botapsa recently built a 140 feet high three-story wooden Dharma Hall, known as the Great Pagoda for National Unification, without nails in the tradition of the three Kingdoms period. On the first story, the medicine Buddha sits is n the east, Amitabha Buddha in the west, Sakyamuni Buddha in the south, and Vairocana Buddha in the north. On the second story book chest containing the Dharma Flower sutra is enshrined centering around the Yunjangdae (prayer wheel). The third story, Viireukjeon Hall, holds the Triad Maitreya Buddha.
