Donguibogam is a 25 volume herbal medicine encyclopedia in 5 categories compiled in 1610 by Heo Jun under the direction of King Seonjo of Joseon, published in 1613. Sancheong is the center of herbal medicine and the village has many attractions and museums displaying the importance of the people and herbs of Korean herbal medicine.
