The Ulsan Hyanggyo is a public local educational institution from the Joseon Era (1392-1897). Structures include a Confucian shrine, sage shrines, lecture hall, inner and outer gates, dormitories and caretaker residence. The Ulsan Hyanggyo was originally built during the Joseon Era, but the actual date remains unknown. Burned down during the Hidesoshi Invasion, it was rebuilt at its present location in 1652.
