Chungjeolsa is a shrine dedicated to General Choi Dae-seong (Moijanggun) and his two sons who died resisting the Japanese aggressors during the Japanese invasions of Korea. General Choi Dae-seong gave his life, and that of his sons, to protect country. The residents of Jeollanam-do petitioned to the Government and Chungjeolsa was established, funded by the nation, province, county, and many individual donations.
