Chungju Goguryeobi Monument Exhibition Hall is built where the Goguryeobi Monument was found first discovered in 1979.

The Goguryeobi Monument was erected by King Munja to celebrate the success of King Jangsu’s southern expansion (413-491), presumed to have been erected in the latter half of the fifth century C.E. The inscriptions denote the relations between Goguryeo, Silla, and Baekje - the Three Kingdoms.
