Neunggasa is a Buddhist temple established in 419 that was rebuilt in 1644 after being destroyed during the Japanese Invasion in 1592 at the base of Palyeongsan (Mount Palyeong), also known as Eight Peak Mountain and Recreational Forest area in Goheung county. Palyeongsan (Mount Palyeong) is a provincial park raising 1995 feet above the sea and is known for its eight beautiful peaks and unusual rock and stone formations.
